Lionel Messi scored his 300th and 301st La Liga objectives for Barcelona as they beat Sporting Gijon 3-1 at El Molinon on Wednesday to go six focuses clear at the highest point of the table.
The five-time Ballon d'Or victor netted his first Barca objective about 11 years prior and turned into the first-ever player to score 300 La Liga objectives on 24 minutes, with a fresh 25-yard strike into the base corner.
Gijon reacted well and Carlos Castro completed off a streaming counter assault to level the scores only two minutes after the fact.
