Pakistan have included opening batsman Sharjeel Khan and quick bowler Mohammad Sami in their Asia Cup and World Twenty20 squads after wounds to Babar Azam and Ruman Raees.
Khan, who played the remainder of his three T20s in 2013, guided Islamabad United to the Pakistan Super League (PSL) last with a century in the play-off win against Shahid Afridi-drove Peshawar Zalmi at Dubai on Sunday.
The Pakistan Cricket Board says Khan replaces Azam, who broke his left lower arm amid practice in the PSL, and was out for three to four weeks.
Khan pounded 117 off 62 balls to score the primary century in the PSL against any semblance of Wahab Riaz and Shaun Tait.
The left-gave Khan has 287 keeps running in 10 PSL matches at a solid strike rate of 151.05. Raees has an evaluation one hamstring strain, and was supplanted by quick bowler Sami, who has taken 11 wickets in the PSL.
Islamabad United batsman Kalid Latif, scorer of 190 keeps running in the PSL, has been incorporated into the World T20 squad set up of Iftikhar Ahmed.
Boss selector Haroon Rasheed said Pakistan had an alternative to roll out improvements in its World T20 squad before March 8, and in the wake of viewing Latif's execution in the PSL it was chosen to forget Ahmed.
"Khalid Latif couldn't be made part of the Asia Cup squad because of some specialized reasons, yet would join the squad for the World Twenty20," Rasheed said.
The Asia Cup begins in Bangladesh this week, and the World T20 in India one month from now.
